The COVID-19 pandemic broke out suddenly and in response the World Health Organization (WHO) issued public policies for the medical care needed to deal with the disease. However, not included were those to address and mitigate the emotional damage that could be caused to the workers responsible for caring for the population. Healthcare workers in normal medical practice are exposed to a high level of work pressure and during the pandemic, uncertainty was present in all senses. The objective of this research: To recognize how the resilience of health care workers to face the pandemic was based on the lessons learned. Methodology: This work was conducted with a qualitative approach and an exploratory documentary technique, a search was conducted in articles of specialized journals and published books, in English and Spanish languages, original articles from 2019 to date were included, which allowed finding information and empirical studies on the subject. The results found expose that, if health CEOs have the necessary tools to face the adversities of their work life, they will have a better chance of being more resilient, supporting with greater strength the vicissitudes of their work.Downloads
