Work and family are two fundamental spheres in people's lives, however, sometimes the demands of the two areas intersect and are incompatible. Work-family balance is an issue that has greater visibility every day as a focus of alert for organizations. The lack of this balance between the roles of both spheres causes conflict, which is part of the psychosocial risks that most affect quality of life and work productivity. The purpose of the work is to describe the situations that women face in their daily lives to be able to carry out their work as researchers and the strategies they have developed to balance their work activities with their family activities, identifying obstacles, conflicts, emotions, support networks. and implemented strategies. The approach is qualitative and the technique used to obtain the data was the focus group. The information obtained was analyzed by performing axial coding, with the support of the ATLAS.ti 9 software for qualitative data analysis. The results provide empirical evidence on the difficulties faced by researchers in work-family and family-work interaction, as well as the different strategies they have developed to confront the conflict.
