This work was developed in a company of automotive interiors with the objective of reducing waste (mudas) with the implementation of lean manufacturing tools, an analysis is shown through the mapping of the value chain (VSM), to identify the flow of processes and information, establishing the current status of the production line, as well as the activities that add and do not add value to the product. Subsequently, a map of the future state was designed in which the improvement tools were established to solve the problems found, with which an action plan was generated, resulting in the establishment of standard times for operations, the elimination of the bottleneck through line balancing, the reduction of 30% of the inventory in process, and the reduction of the inventory in process that was not in the production line, 30% reduction of in-process inventory in the production line, elimination of rework in one operation, as well as reduction of waiting times, which were evaluated through statistical and financial analysis to verify their real impact on the organization, as well as the feasibility of the project. With the above, we contributed to the improvement of the productivity of the study area where the project was carried out.
