Abstract

The 4th Industrial revolution is changing the way we live, learn and also the way of doing business globally. This makes necessary to transform education in order to prepare future students to the threads of this new revolution which is also known as Industry 4.0. In this study, we compare the curriculum of business graduate programs and the number of graduate programs, of different universities in Mexico and the United States, and the results show that there are a higher number of courses related to Industry 4.0 in the curriculum of MBA programs in the US than in Mexico; moreover the results also show that there is very high number of graduate programs related to industry 4,0 in the United States and very few in Mexico. This lag in graduate education in Mexico has important implications for practitioners and researchers that should be taken into account to make the necessary adjustments in order to have high quality, competitive and relevant graduate programs.
