In the present investigation the advances of financial inclusion are analyzed, having as object of study the self-employed workers referring them as microentrepreneurs. At the national level, different public policy strategies have been implemented to guarantee better and greater access to financial services of formally regulated institutions in the Mexican financial system. The research is relevant to identify that one of the main problems in microenterprises that limits their growth or permanence in the market is the lack of options to obtain liquidity, access to savings and financing services. Of the results, the strategies and actions in public policy terms stand out, however, the results are still not encouraging, identifying limitations in the access to financial resources, savings capacity, in the subject of financial education, as well as in the use of technologies to make the available infrastructure effective.
