Abstract

Innovation involves a transformation process of an idea into an attractive product or service for sale in the market; according to the literature, we can find several innovation models within which the Open Innovation Model stands out, according to which, to achieve the advancement of their technologies, companies can and should use external as well as internal ideas, which allow knowledge to flow along the value chain. Today, mexican companies continue to have deep-seated confidentiality policies that prevent the development of their products from being more profitable than they possibly are; reason for which in the present investigation it is desired to analyze in a theoretical way the degree of impact of the open innovation in the technological development in the mexican companies
