The present study explores the measurement of the impact that innovation cause in the development of the small tourism businesses in the town of Caborca, Sonora, considering the impact of this factor with others variables of study general such as the of marketing research, the management of the knowledge, the culture organizational, the use of the technology and touristic policies. This research is quantitative in character, as well as explorative, descriptive, and nonexperimental. Documentary and bibliographic technique have been used to identify the relationship between the variables subject of study. The instrument of measurement applied is a pilot structured questionnaire conducted among small touristic business owners and administrators of the town of Caborca. As a result of the investigation, a relationship was found between the factor of innovation with other variables as well as the reliability of the measurement instrument.
