Open Access Policy (Licensing)
The journal VinculaTégica Efan adheres to an non-comercial open access policy through the Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0) with the aim of promoting the dissemination and exchange of knowledge and strengthening the impact of research, placing it in the scientific and general community, which is a pillar for the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
This policy implies that the works published in the journal are open access, which means that they are available for anyone interested in reading, downloading, printing, sharing, and reusing them, as long as the respective authorship rights are attributed to whom they correspond.
The Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license allows authors to retain the copyright of their works while authorizing unrestricted online distribution and dissemination. The license also allows the reuse of published works, as long as the source is cited correctly and the license terms are respected.
Copyright Policy
Authors who publish in the journal VinculaTégica EFAN agree to the following Copyright Notice:
a) Authors keep copyright and give the journal the right to the first publication of the work under a Creative Commons attribution license. This license allows others to share the work as long as original authorship and initial publication in this journal are acknowledged.
b) Authors may make other independent and additional contractual agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the article published in this journal (e.g., include it in an institutional repository or publish it in a book) as long as they clearly indicate that the work was published for the first time in this journal.
c) Authors are allowed to self-archive their work in institutional repositories or on their own website before and during the submission process, as this may encourage productive exchanges and increase early and overall citation of the published work.
Antiplagiarism Policy
The journal Vinculatégica EFAN requires that all submitted research papers be unpublished and original. The journal will not accept papers that have been partially or fully published in other dissemination spaces under any circumstances. Likewise, manuscripts must not be under simultaneous evaluation in other editorial processes.
For this purpose, the following guidelines are established:
- Submitted manuscripts must be previously reviewed using Turnitin.
- The editorial committee will provide authors with access to the Turnitin platform to run the similarity test.
- Any manuscript with a similarity percentage of 20% or less may continue with the preliminary editorial review.
- The originality report must be uploaded to the platform when submitting the manuscript.
If the manuscript is more than 20% similar, or if the editorial team finds matches that hurt the originality of the work, the manuscript may be sent back to the authors for clarification or correction, or it may be rejected, depending on how serious the case is.
You must comply with this policy before we can send the manuscript to the double-blind peer review process.
Artificial Intelligence Policy
This policy applies as of June 2026.
This policy regulates the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including generative models for text, code, images, translation, data or similar technologies, by authors, reviewers and editors of VinculaTégica EFAN. Its guiding principles are transparency, academic integrity, editorial confidentiality and human responsibility. Any relevant use of AI must be declared when applicable, and final responsibility for the content will always rest with people, not with the tool used.
For authors
- AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author. Authorship implies academic, ethical and legal responsibility for the published content, a condition that an AI tool cannot fulfill.
- The use of AI is permitted as support for accessory tasks, such as style correction, grammar review, translation, text organization, programming assistance or support in reference formatting, provided that the authors review, validate and assume full responsibility for the result.
- AI may not be used to fabricate, falsify or manipulate data, results, citations, references, DOI, images, analyses or conclusions. It may also not be used to replace the intellectual, methodological, analytical or interpretative work of the authors.
- Any relevant use of AI must be declared in a section titled “Declaration of Use of Artificial Intelligence”, located at the end of the manuscript and before the references, indicating the tool used and the purpose of its use. Failure to include this declaration, when relevant use of AI is detected, may be treated as an ethical breach in accordance with the journal’s Code of Ethics and Good Editorial Practices.
For reviewers
- Manuscripts assigned for evaluation are confidential documents. Therefore, they must not be uploaded, copied, shared, summarized or processed, either fully or partially, in AI tools or external services that do not guarantee the confidentiality of the editorial process.
- The critical judgment involved in peer review is non-delegable. AI cannot replace expert evaluation, methodological assessment or the editorial recommendation issued by the reviewer.
- Reviewers may use digital tools only for linguistic support in their own comments, provided that they do not include confidential manuscript content or compromise the anonymity of the double-blind peer review process.
For editors
- The editorial team will preserve the confidentiality of manuscripts, reviews, editorial communications and all other materials received during the editorial process.
- AI may be used only as support for non-substantive tasks, such as format review, linguistic support, organization of information, preliminary metadata review or detection of formal inconsistencies. Editorial decisions will always remain under human responsibility.
When possible undeclared, inappropriate, or policy-contrary use is identified, the journal may request clarifications, require corrections, suspend the evaluation process, reject the manuscript, or apply the procedures established in the Code of Ethics and Good Editorial Practices of VinculaTégica EFAN.
Interoperability Protocol (OAI-PMH)
-
Access to the OAI-PMH Protocol: Vinculategica Journal provides access to the OAI-PMH protocol through its public web interface. The base access point for the OAI-PMH protocol is Vinculategica OAI.
-

-

- Identification of deleted records: If records are deleted from the journal, the status element in the Dublin Core metadata will be used to identify the deleted records. The value of this element will be changed to "deleted" to indicate that the record has been removed and is no longer available for harvesting.
Metadata Policy
VinculaTégica EFAN has a policy for generating, reviewing, normalizing, publishing, and updating the metadata of its editorial content. This policy seeks to ensure that all published articles can be properly identified, described, located, retrieved, preserved, and made visible.
The basic metadata recorded for each article include: article title, title in a second language, full names of the authors, institutional affiliation, country, abstract in Spanish, abstract in English, keywords in Spanish, keywords in English, date of receipt, date of acceptance, date of publication, volume, issue, editorial period, pagination, DOI, publication license, editorial section, manuscript language, and link to the full text.
As complementary, but not mandatory, metadata, the journal requests, promotes, and records persistent identifiers for authorship and institutions, such as ORCID for authors and ROR for institutions, provided that these have been supplied by the authors, are publicly available, or can be verified during the editorial process. The absence of these identifiers does not limit publication of the article when they are not provided or do not exist.
The journal seeks to ensure that metadata are complete, consistent, normalized, verifiable, and recorded bilingually when applicable. For this purpose, metadata are reviewed during the editorial process and may be corrected or updated when errors, omissions, or inconsistencies are detected.
In addition, the metadata of published articles are available on the OJS platform and can be harvested through the OAI-PMH protocol in Dublin Core format, which supports their interoperability with information systems, databases, directories, repositories, academic indexes, and other scientific information retrieval services.
Self-archiving (Repository Policy)

- Published Article (Editorial version): Final version as published by VinculaTégica EFAN.
No embargo may be applied to the self-archiving of these versions. All articles must be immediately available for consultation in the repository without access restrictions.
In all cases, the original publication must be cited, including the DOI, journal title, volume, year and link to the published article, thereby respecting the CC BY 4.0 license, which allows the content to be shared and distributed provided that attribution is given to the authors and to the original publication.
