Abstract

This paper describes the arrival of the maquiladora industry in the city of Ciudad Juarez. The importance of it as the main source of employment is analyzed, because in Ciudad Juarez more than 90 percent of investments are predestined to the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing and the main source of capital of the foreign investments are United States and Canada due to the Free Trade Agreement, this same one is located between the best 52 localities to make investments according to the Magazine America Economy, in this sense arises the effect in the Labor market of Ciudad Juarez.
