Analysis of the implementation of sustainable development strategies in a mechanical metallurgical company. A case study

Aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other global goals demonstrates a commitment to contributing to an equitable and sustainable world. It is difficult for the automotive industry to innovate technologies and/or processes that continue to contribute to reducing environmental impact. The objective of this research was to analyze the implementation and impact of sustainable development practices in a mechanical metalworking company in Piedras Negras. A quantitative, descriptive approach was used to collect data, using a Likert-based R scale instrument validated with the Chronbach test. The results of employee surveys showed that 64% positively perceived sustainable practices, recognizing their positive impact on the work environment and the community in general. The company is committed to implementing these practices, such as adopting clean technologies. Areas for improvement were identified, especially in equal opportunities between different work shifts in terms of resources, information, and recognition. This suggests the need for greater attention to the inclusion and participation of all employees in the company's sustainability initiatives.
