Abstract

Today's society faces challenges such as climate change, ecosystem destruction, and loss of values, which has led to a desire among citizens for greater participation in government management. This research uses the qualitative, descriptive, analytical and documentary method of studies previously conducted in public administration, local development and sustainability that analyze practices, challenges and opportunities of the subject studied. Its objective is to present how public institutions, government auditing, and sustainability in public management relate to achieving the well-being of triple sustainability for individuals with the goal of increasing individual and collective well-being. The results demonstrate the need for collaborative, ethical, and flexible public management with active citizen participation. There is a need to develop leadership and knowledge management skills among public employees. Furthermore, it proposes a horizontal and inclusive public management approach that integrates strategic planning, intersectoral collaboration, and information technologies. It is concluded that the implementation of innovative, forward-thinking public management, with intersectoral cooperation, can contribute to achieving the objectives of sustainable development for individual and collective benefit.
