This exploratory research proposes a way to make visible the lack of fulfillment of the psychological contract. Therefore the imbalance generated in the relationships between the employer and the employee leads to an exchange of value that is sometimes perceived as unfair, explained because one of the parties involved considers that they deserve special treatment or benefits without developing the necessary merits. Based on the theory of Social Exchange and considering organizational justice, as well as over-deservingness, a series of alternative models for the exchange of value are analyzed to develop a model proposal that involves the aspects to strengthen the theory, due to the relevance that these topics are taking. Among the main findings is the analysis of the value exchange where the perceptions of justice are shown, which shows the importance of the negotiation processes between those involved and invites the design of a measurement instrument that can be validated in the Latin American work environment.
