Bibliometrics is a field of study that helps to know the intellectual production of a subject, especially when knowledge of it is incipient. In this research, the state of scientific production about economic growth of the agricultural sector was known. It is known that this sector is fundamental in the food system, the productivity of a territory, social welfare, and in the construction of better forms of nutrition through the understanding and advances that it may have. The objective is to know the theoretical scientific productivity with respect to the economic growth of the agricultural sector considering a decade of political, natural and health transitions. Through a bibliometric study carried out in the digital libraries “The Lens and Dimensions” it was found that the phenomenon of growth and survival in agriculture from the economic perspective, so far, is limited in its study, with China and the United States being the greatest exponents. It is proposed to expand the research to see the factors that affect the growth and survival of the agricultural sector for future research.
