Uses and applications of nopal as a competitive opportunity in the city of Toluca, 2016

According to Porter, the competitive advantage must be company specific, transferable and powerful to compensate the company for potential disadvantages, or it is a set of skills that distinguishes itself from others who carry out the same economic activity by promoting their productivity. The element of the Diamond of Porter that supports this work is: Conditions of the demand, by the specifications that a company must fulfill to satisfy the needs of the consumer. The nopal is a Mexican agricultural product, emphasis was placed on its uses and applications that have not been made known to the potential consumer market. SAGARPA indicated that the production of nopal at the national level is 70% structure in its natural form and the rest for processing, its average consumption is 6.4 kilos per capita. The objective was to know the competitive advantage of the nopal from its uses and applications in Toluca, 2016. The research was descriptive and exploratory cross-sectional type. Once the generalities of the competitive advantage and the background of the cactus were announced, a pilot test was applied to know the use and application of the nopal that give its consumers, from this to give to know its attributes of the nopal in The form that attracts the attention of the potential market, stimulating its potential of national production and improving the quality of life of the consumer.
