What happens to the ideas of those researchers who do not think of themselves as entrepreneurs? Being that Nuevo León is one of the Mexican states with better economy, and which has policies that intend to develop the Industry 4.0, it would seem natural that those who create knowledge, will be willing to take their ideas one step further. Through the CREALTII program (Creation of High Impact Enterprises by Researches for its acronym in Spanish) the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León provided the researchers with both knowledge and tools necessary regarding the creation of a business. This research attempts to identify the role of educational institutions within the flourishing of entrepreneurship and innovation in Mexico.
