Innovative potential of La Moderna: a nationally owned economic group

La Moderna Group, S.A. de C.V., is a group of companies dedicated to the manufacture of pasta, cookies, and flour in Mexico. Its origins date back to 1920. Currently, through technological and organizational strategies, it has increased its innovative potential to position itself in the market. The objective of this study is to analyze the innovative potential of La Moderna Economic Group to generate new and improved products with practices that allow it to reduce costs and generate greater value, considering its available resources. As materials and methods, a qualitative research approach was conducted, since the specifics of the phenomenon will be understood based on records, reports, and other documents from secondary sources, reviewing available literature and the official websites of the company under analysis. Regarding the results, throughout its 104 years of history, the Group has improved its raw materials, shifting to the use of organic products; it has created distribution centers, expanded its sales abroad, and has been certified according to international standards. In conclusion, the Economic Group is today characterized by the sustainability of its production processes and the diversification of its offering in the food sector.
