This research aimed to design and validate a measurement instrument to assess the impact of management strategy on digital transformation at private universities in Metropolitan Lima, Peru. The objective was to demonstrate that management strategy constituted a key organizational element driving digitalization in university management. The methodology employed combined a bibliometric approach, to analyze the evolution of the literature on digital transformation, with the development of a measurement instrument composed of 14 items. Content validity was assessed by five university experts, who analyzed the relevance and clarity of the items. The results indicated that the designed items were adequate to measure the studied variables: digital transformation (Y) and management strategy (X). A high level of consensus was found among the experts, with average ratings ranging from "relevant" to "very relevant" and a low standard deviation, reflecting high consistency in the assessment. In conclusion, the statistical validation of the questionnaire was significant, consolidating its usefulness as a tool for future research. Its application has allowed and will allow us to more accurately measure the role of management strategy in the adoption of digital transformation at the university level.
