Abstract

Student satisfaction is a very important variable within educational institutions since it is a dimension of the quality and good work offered by the institution. In addition, low satisfaction rates can lead to student dropouts or low learning levels. The objective of this research is to understand the factors that influence student satisfaction in virtual environments. Through a literature review, this study establishes the following as independent variables of student satisfaction: student behavior toward computers, anxiety, student self-efficacy in internet use, feedback, e-L management, internet quality, multiple assessment methods, and synchronous communication. The relationships between these factors were measured through a validated instrument in a sample of 200 students. Correlation analysis was used, which revealed that all factors are significantly correlated with student satisfaction.
