Abstract

This article presents the content validation process and reliability analysis of an instrument designed to measure compensation factors and their relationship with teaching performance in Upper Secondary Education at a public university in northeastern Mexico. A structured questionnaire was developed based on theoretical and empirical literature. It was evaluated by six expert judges using Aiken´´´ s V coefficient, achieving adequate levels of content validity across all dimensions. A pilot test was then conducted with 52 full-time teachers, and the data were analyzed using Cronbach´ s alpha coefficient, obtaining acceptable internal consistency values. The results indicate that the instrument is valid, reliable, and suitable for broader applications, providing a valuable tool for future research and institutional decision-making to improve teaching work environments and educational quality.
