Abstract

The English language has become one of the most spoken languages in the world, it is estimated that 800 million people speak English. In Mexico, the demand for this language is becoming more evident as it has become an intercultural communication tool; likewise, in an educational context in constant transformation, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have become a tool of support for education and in this case, for the facilitation of learning another language. Computer language teaching programs offer students the opportunity to study conversations and texts, perform grammar and vocabulary exercises and, even more, listen to texts and record their voices. The introduction of ICT in the language classroom has great implications for curricular reform, classroom teaching and student learning. Currently there are several platforms, videos that help you learn, understand and read English better, applications created for mobile devices so that people in their free time can practice, based on games, and activities. Therefore, this research has the purpose of determining the uses that students give to ICT in the learning of the English language. The research method was applied quantitative descriptive transectional approach, the information collection instrument was developed by experts and validated with Cronbach's alpha. The variables to manipulate are skill in handling, motivational factors and technology used
