Government programs and green strategies: Competitiveness tools for pymes?

The objective of this report is to enquire about how small and medium-sized enterprises are supported by the governmental programs to strengthen the competitiveness and to boost the internationalization by means of green strategies. This paper also attempts to verify if some of the characteristics of the profile of a manager exerts influence in the selection and execution of these programs. The research is based on 42 implemented surveys to SME’s managers of cleaning and cosmetic market in Bogotá. The outcomes unveil that the observed governmental plans have not succeeded but, the respondents are aware of green strategies implementation as a tool for the enterprises competitiveness.
